Safe Haven Maternity Home, is a nonprofit organization under 501(c)(3), established in 1992. We offer housing, supervision, nutritious meals; transportation to training, schools, medical and other necessary appointments; assessments, referrals and follow-up with community resources during and after pregnancy; life and job skills training, parenting education, and emotional support.  It is donations like yours, given in hard times that enable us to continue to be a valuable resource in our community.

In partnership with our community, we support mothers in crisis and their families through strength-based, client-focused services that meet their spiritual, emotional, physical, social, and educational needs. Safe Haven Maternity Home’s vision is to break the cycles of trauma for mothers in crisis and their families by providing a safe haven, a pathway toward stability, and hope for a better future. Housing is provided through the Residency Program, which also provides 24/7 continuous support, supervision and accountability from staff. Four additional programs are in place to support other areas of their lives beyond the physical survival needs being met while living at the home. First, the Life Skills program provides women the skills needed to be successful in all areas of their life by offering classes in Economic Stability, Job Preparedness, Personal Growth, Parenting Development and Self-care. Second, the women learn cooking, gardening, nutrition, and more through the Healthy Lifestyles Program. They also have access to reliable transportation through our third program the Transportation Program. Fourth, the Aftercare Program provides ongoing support to the women transitioning from our communal living into independent living.
